Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Yes just like in Operation Eagleclaw US choppers went down in desert to difficult windy conditions, right?
That was an operational disaster. Eight helicopters were sent but only five arrived in operational condition. One had encountered hydraulic problems, another was caught in a sand storm, and the third showed signs of a cracked rotor blade. Helicopters are inherently less reliable and prone to accidents compared to fixed wing. In the 5,000+ sorties, many of which are carrier based, the only losses so far have been due to 'friendly fire'.

With Russian assistance of course.

Of course. That is only to be expected. Russia would help anyone engaging and keeping US forces occupied as payback for past episodes that went the other way.

Not only because of revenge but it's in their interest that this conflict goes on for as long as possible.
