WASHINGTON: An investigation led by a US general will take “as long as necessary” to determine the facts of a strike on an elementary school in Iran, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Friday.

The investigation is conducted by a general officer from outside the US Central Command (CENTCOM) and “will take as long as necessary to address all the matters surrounding this incident,” Hegseth told a news conference.

Tehran has accused the United States and Israel of conducting the deadly missile attack on the school that Iranian media reports say killed at least 165 people, including children.

rony aside, USA has categorically lost the war for hearts and minds, without even trying which many of us will recall used to be emphasised substantially during the neocon era. Trump has become extremely reckless (I believe this is thanks to Tel Aviv's manipulations) and this is where Iran will find its leverage.

There are many who say that Trump is compromised because of Epstein Files. Maybe some truth in that but I had seen what Trump did in his first term--a time no mention of the Epstein Files and a time of relative peace in the Middle East--and I saw how Trump then broke decades old US policies in the Middle East and I had then concluded that Trump was going to be far worse in the Middle East than any American presence ever was.
My repeated warnings about him in the Israel-Gaza thread before he won the 2024 elections have proven right. He may not be religious at all but he is definitely very pro Israel and an extreme Zionist by his actions. The guy showed no remorse for the slaughter in Gaza and instead kept telling Israel to 'finish the job'. No remorse, no regrets, not even crocodile's tears!!!
