I believe Trump may be looking for an exit strategy to end this war by using positive language to claim victory. However, it seems like Israel is the only country that doesn’t want it to end. I'm paraphrasing slightly but Trump himself has recently mentioned fighting wars for certain "very good allies" in the middle east. In the same conversation he alluded to being "habitually" driven to these wars in the middle east.
