Even if there is some type of land based operation coming somewhere in Iran, The first wave is 1-2 weeks away and the 2nd wave is a month away. And you aren’t doing any land operation with just 8000-10000 troops, no way. Look at how many marines + others were sent in to take Fallujah back in the day.

So with the long lead time till actual ground invasion starts (ie. >4 weeks) who knows what the battlefield looks by then. A lot of things can change between now and then.

I'm going to assume here the closest you've been to being in uniform is you know people in the military. You're making a lot of assumptions and clearly no nothing about the organization and capabilities of a MEU. Or how the two MEUs currently enroute will be deployed.

how does the US plan to reach Kharg island in the first place when they can't even approach the Strait of Hormoz?

Could their aim be Chabahar?

Get a foothold consolidate and work their way through the coastline. They could then take some high top positions to minimise risk of their amphibious fleet being attacked if securing the straits us the goal. Taking Kharg does not make sense to me as its a very difficult spot to defend so far into the PG.

Without any type of Air Support or Air defence a large scale mobilization of ground forces will lead to nothing but slaughter. A war of attrition and blockage is the most viable option for Iran.

I know but I wasn't talking about regular formations of Irani Army; I was thinking about smaller groups--many of them-- spread over time and area and carrying light weapons, especially projectiles--to march to the Israeli borders and did what Hezbollah was doing from Lebanon: Paralyze life in Israel. March into Iraq, add to their ranks in Iraq, march into Syria, Lebanon and even Jordan.
Just get close to the borders of Israel, dig into mountainside, riverine, wherever and fire and fire into Israel. This is already a Medieval War and so be Medieval!

No guarantees will ever, ever, ever be enough when it comes to US and israel. The day they end the war, they will block any transactions to Iranian banks, put back sanctions on Iran and start threatening Iran once again. Then the cycle will repeat for the 4th time.

Remember, these are the same two countries who were negotiating with Iran for weeks, so that in the background, they can gather the movements of Khamenei to launch an attack. They can never be trusted with any promises and they will find their way around any guarantees.

The only guarantee Iran can get .. and which will show the sincerity of US, will be to ask US to vacate its bases .. ask for end to War in Lebanon and Gaza and ask for end to West bank settlements.

Unless US agrees for these, they won't be sincere in anything else either.

guarantees are compulsion of middle eastern states, otherwise, blockade will continue in one form or the other
