There is no “140 million barrels” of Iranian oil floating on water. There is about 35 million barrels and they are parked off the Chinese coast waiting for the “teapot” refineries to call them into port.

I’m not sure where they get this 140 million number.

So, basically Secretary Secretary Bessent invented story to bring the price of oil down. Nevertheless, my question was geared towards how can he "jiu-jitsue" the Iranians if the 35 millions barrels are not even sold in US controlled currencies?

Iran hasn’t struck any part of Pakistan yet because the country does not host American bases nor provide her US allies any other support in this war. But this can change quickly once Pakistan enters the war on the Saudi side and thus against Iran.

Pakistan is NOT going to enter the war to fight against Iran. It makes NO SENSE for it to do so. Is Saudi Arabia going to send troops and military equipment to fight against india and afghandustan at the behest of Pakistan?

Iran is not attacking Saudi Arabia, Iran is attacking American installations, weapons and American military personnel in Saudi Arabia.

He lies. He knows that Iran won’t risk selling to a country that would not pay upfront for cargo or pay in dollars or euros that can then be freezed.

It’s just a face saving way for his base. He knows no one can prove where Iran’s oil sales actually went.

Agreed Pakistan has more in common with Iran than with Saudi Arabia. And had a large Shia population. Saudi Arabia cannot be trusted.
