RAF shoots down 14 drones in single night in Iraq - as UK considers options on Hormuz​

The RAF shot down more than a dozen drones in Iraq last night, UK defence officials have said.

Fourteen one-way attack drones were destroyed by a regiment in the city of Erbil, the highest number it has shot down in a single night so far.

On the Strait of Hormuz, the officials said the UK and France would lead a coalition of countries hoping to reopen the waterway.

Their reasoning was that building an air force was out of the reach for them. A jet fighter has too many hi-tech components that is impossible to master for Iran without foreign help. And the US would still gain air superiority anyway. So, they decided to bet their money on missiles.

I have always been against that tactic, but it is what it is.

Iran's biggest mistake was to trust the Russians.
In a way, I am glad that Khamenei was killed. He was responsible for too many bad decisions. I hope his son would be different.

Zolqadr is more like an puppet, with Zolqadr put in power IRGC only fortified its powergrip on Irans politics.

Iran has taken out 5-6 out of the 6 X-band THAAD TPY-2 radars and the UHF in Qatar

so in summary the detection time has gone from 11 mins to 2-3 mins

that means at start of the war 20 missile salvo would land 1-2 missiles

now 4-5 missiles land same 1-2 missiles

Iranian Kvadrat air defense systems, Majid air defense systems, MIM-23 Hawk air defense systems, Khordad air defense systems, and ZU-23-2 air defense systems are also shown. Iranian command vehicles and radars were also hit. Iranian ships and boats were also hit; these may be older videos from a different angle. Strikes were carried out against Iranian 170-mm M1978 Koksan self-propelled guns and 203-mm M110 self-propelled guns, missile launchers and other equipment.
