An independent body went to the graveyards in Israel - took an average BEFORE the war started and during this war and came to the conclusion there was an average of 55 graves EXTRA per day during Irans bombardment. This would equate to almost 1000 Israeli having lost their lives.
This is more likely.

Makes most sense from Kuwait or Iraq, safer to attack from the West rather than Arabian Sea.

Thing I dont get is, if Kharg is the target then its typical of trumpys strategy from day 1, lots of noise, bluster but nothing concrete.

Iran uses Kharg as a platform to put oil onto tankers and ship them. If the US did take Karg, they will stop sending oil there and you have millions of barrels off the market which will make the situation worse.

Then those troops need constant supply lines, Iran can target them and Iraqi militias may get in on the action.

Yes im an arm chair general but you dont need to be a genius to see how much a further mess the US will put itself in. They forget Iran fought a bloody toe to toe war for 10 years vs Iraq. Taking Kharg wont hinder them or make them open the Strait of Hormuz. If anything the US is helping to create new more hard-line leaders in Iran.

I would not expect the US to be making a rational decision right now. There could be 2 possibilities:

• US is just being reckless and stupid and just like they have been in the last 3 weeks .. and this will become a bigger blunder
• Or the US wants the Persian Gulf to remain closed and destabilized for a long time, so they can become the major oil power and their oil extraction remains profitable due to high oil prices. Coincidently, Russia's largest oil terminal which supplies 40% of their energy was attacked today. It seems like a coordinated effort to halt world's energy supplies might as well be the plan

it's 61 per day increase in March '26 and 2,039 deaths in Israel not counting Gaza and West Bank.
