Had a good discussion with a scholar friend of mine during Ramadan; very well-read in Islamic literature and the history of the region.

Towards the end of our conversation, he said what was in his heart and laid it bare. He said: No matter if the Arab's followed Islam, Christianity, or Judaism, they will always revert towards and align with the Israelites, for the simple fact that they are, for better or worse, blood relatives with a common ancestor of Abraham. It's that blood bond that ties them together, and throughout history, it was always the Arabs who came to their aid.

For them, Islam is just a theology to follow, not kinship.

Sephardic and Mizrahi are not purely from M.E. either, a lot of them come from Spanish/Portuguese/Moroccan background, not exactly ancient Israelites. I'd say majority of Israelis are not descendant from Abraham.

Israel does not give a flying F, and Pakistan should not try to punch above its weight.
