"Best case" scenario, politically, for USA might be to have Arabs (or anyone!) join the impending ground assault against Iran, so that the Americans can leave someone else to provide the cannon fodder.

Except Israel could say Iran has nukes and get Beijing to believe it. Beijing believed the WMD lie, and Israel would say Iran broke the agreement, so maybe Beijing does not have to defend Iran if attacked. While in the next years/months Israel is prepared with newer drone and missile defenses for the next war.

Beijing would have to be an unconditional security guarantor of Iranian sovereign and to fully defend Iran with the total might of China, including nuclear umbrella, for this to have teeth.
