total media blackout in Israel over very difficult security incident in south Lebanon

potentially several barbecued rats

several helios? how many are picked up be each one

I don't think the goal is to hold them, it's to take them out of Iranian hands which, given that the US currently has about 4% is it's entire air fleet in the region and it's dominant shows that it should be a trivial task. Anyone trying to hold a small island once hostilities start will be signing a death sentence so I don't think either side will attempt that once an initial clearing has been done. A few Apaches would hold off any future attack once the area is cleared.

There's so much delusion on this sub, Iranian forces are poorly trained and equipped, Iran's firing a few missiles here and there, in retaliation for airstrikes levelling blocks, leadership being annihilated, infrastructure being destroyed. Americans would take any island with ease and if they then back off they can stop any future Iranian presence.

There is a small single digit percentage of American assets in the area but that's enough to stop any Iranian ground forces to even get near, look what happened to the Wagner forces in Syria when up against a few American operators, and that's Wagner forces, vastly superior to Iranians.

So many people on here spreading fake X posts, images etc, random made up stories of a Japanese mercenary which is clearly AI 🤣
It's a symptom of stupid people, most people in developing nations believe everything they read on the internet without even fact checking.

Iran's missiles are all they have and right now, in terms of damage that they have inflicted to the US, it's not even 0.0001% of what the US has. They hit a few airbases which mostly have a handful of contractors in and a few trainers, a few aircraft (remember the US has an insane amount of every type of aircraft) and the US has thousands of nukes at the end of the day.

I'm not being biased, I'm just not a moron who thinks Iran is winning haha, the strait is a great tactic of course but it's not a new tactic and it's not a military tactic either, this is economic war and it's the only play Iran has.
>claims not to be a moron
>says moronic things like believing the most propagandistic version of the Battle of Khasham
>proceeds to ignore interception rates, radar installations taken out
>pretends not to notice that the US still hasn't actually made any ground play despite it being trivial

Ok squirt

Here are the words today from Iran! Think before you speak and call people a liar or you should be banned from this thread! @Persian Gulf

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle

the US is sending messages to Iran via Pakistan, and probably vice versa

various foreign ministers are also meeting in Pakistan to discuss these proposals, but Iran is not part of those meetings.

did you expect Iran to compete with the US military in a conventional military sense?

the US has overwhelming military superiority and we see this in tactical wins

but the question is whether they can achieve strategic objectives. so far they have not.

multiple interceptors (probably Iron Dome) fail to intercept Iranian RV

They all missed, gave chase and seemed confused.

Ok... an Air force from whom???

China? J17, J10???. Would let Saudi Arabia and Emirates Irán to purchase such advanced planes?.
From European Union?
From US?
Just Russia after draconian embargoes because ukranian war gave their green light to export some excellents Su35s.

But until then nobody wanted to sell any superiority jets to Irán.
And after getting those dozens of high end aircrafts, which missiles?, which cruise missiles?. Which ECM capable of jamming US/Israel high end radars or communications would purchase Irán?.

And same with the navy. Who would sell modern multirole frigates to Islamic Republic?, UK?, Italy?, France?. And if some of those just by mistake design, build and deliver (c´mon!) such advanced ships... with which long range radar?, and long range SAM system?.

Islamic Republic was a pariah state and nobody wanted to sell them nothing.

So all in all tsunset is right, you can be proud of Islamic Republic resistance and resilience.
They wasted billions of dollars of money on bullshit projects that led us to nowhere like Shafagh, Kowsar, Azarakhsh, the ridiculous F-313 (Qaher), etc. Some of these projects like Qaher-313 were so moronic and obviously flawed that they caused widespread ridicule from even aerospace engineering students.
They could purchase jet fighters before 2008. They didn't because they didn't want to. Russia sold Iran RD-33s engines in early 2000s but that's all Iran chose to purchase at the time.

They didn't have to become a pariah state. It was their own choices and actions that led to this situation.
Iran had a strategic alliance with the US to the point that the US greenlighted the sale of their top air superiority fighter (F-14) to Iran, the equivalent of F-22 in today's situation, something that they refused to do even for Israel at the time. Iran was one of the first countries planned to receive F-16s if the 1979 revolution hadn't happened. So, this pariah state has been by choice.

It was their own choice not to build a nuclear weapon and form military alliances, instead they chose to rely on proxy groups. Pakistan built nukes, North Korea built nukes, even Turkey and Saudi Arabia that face no existential threat are moving towards them. Ukraine has officially requested the right to possess nuclear weapons. Yet, these fuckers do not have the balls to leave the NPT yet.

Iran is being destroyed while not even one-tenth of the damage that we have suffered has been reciprocated on Israel. There's nothing to be proud of here.
I will reiterate my position. If Iran doesn't acquire nuclear weapons, we will be at the mercy of the US and Israel in 6 months in the best case scenario.

If you think Iran will be left alone assuming we win this round, you are 100% wrong.

This is what most people don't get. Soviet Union had around 25 million casualties after second world war but came out of the conflict as a superpower.
