Nahhh, Hormuz is a goldmine. We should not give away our goldmine (for nothing). I believe this is fake news/psyops through their soft war channels (Reuters, Axios etc).

Yes, he is. Trump is not a neoconservative. Neither is MAGA, in its default iteration, an extension of the neocon movement. People conflate the two spuriously.

The US isn't offering anything in return. A ceasefire with the US is worthless. That's the problem with maximum pressure - whether the war continues or we get a temporary, guaranteed to be broken ceasefire with sanctions on top, it's more or less the same for Iran.

They wouldn't be giving "stern messages" if they wanted to go in on the ground. Clearly, they are afraid of carrying our a ground op and are using threats to force Iran to back down and hence find a way out of this mess.

Iran should call their bluff and say - go on then, send your troops in.

A repulsed assault is Iran's best (arguably, their only) way to force a clear and quick victory.
