Come guys give Iran some leverage. I agree the rescue of second pilot is embarrassing for Iran. But Iran isn't some great power country ,it's not even a regional power. Despite all that they shot down US fighter jets ,gave them tough time and exposed US lies of Iran,s air defence completely destroyed. Not just that they created a deterrent over Irani airspace . But using standoff weapons unfortunately US and isreal will keep hitting targets in Iran. A rescue of one person doesn't define the outcome of the war. Overall in this battle Iran won.

So the Americans deployed and landed two MC-130s within Iran, were able to establish a Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP), had visuals of the WSO and deployed an MQ-9 as over watch and save the airman from capture. They saved the pilot, blew up the 2 MC-130s and went back home......

None taken. But the US still hasn't been able to complete their main objectives. Despite taking out the leadership, Iran has fought hard and fiercely. Coalition has lost major assets and the strait is still closed.

I don't think a C-130 was shot down. Likely a Blackhawk as they were probably conducting CSAR ops. 2 MC-130s were scuttled though once Delta's has located the pilot

I have several question

why iran didn't produce manpads in large quantities like drones and missiles?? It is not so expensive such as AIR force and Fighter jets

Why they have to import manpads from russia? (3000 pieces from last purchase )

What are military planners and command center thinking about?

If you can shoot down a 100mil plane with gear that costs a few thousands of dollars no one would use a 100mil plane right? obviously those manpads are more useful on helicopters or cheap drones than jet fighters.

I think the losses Iran inflicted earlier shows the first csar failed the second just succeeded barely.


Anyway what's done is done. Now is the time to focus on what Iran should do next
