So far, I have been working with the hypothesis of a pilot rescue operation. However, given the number of aircraft involved and the location, I am considering that this may have been more than just that. Two fixed-wing aircraft and four helicopters may have been shot down. How many were actually able to turn back and return safely? We could be looking at a failed attempt to establish a forward basing inside Iran. Although this version still lacks solid evidence, I will wait to address it further if more indications emerge.

No, not that much
It’s estimated $300 million in hardware damage.
the US pays huge sum to rescue a pilot.
You compare to Russia. Putin will pay far less.

There is no chance for a deal because this bird brain administration keeps offering terrible concessions in exchange for major Iranian overtures. Any other non-Mossad controlled U.S. president would be negotiating much more realistically like Obama or Reagan did.

Nobody in this world predicted what we are seeing, IRGC was supposed to have been crushed along with IRI within a week. We are in 6th week now and IRI in the entire war never lost control of strategic escalation ladder which matters most, never got suppressed or deterred, kept tit-for tat strikes going on ... remember they are fighting the toughest possible military alliance of 12 countries led by first world hyper power and a great power that controls the global politics and finances.

I am preparing a war report I will post here and on my social like I did for 12 day war, it will be long but will cover everything.

One of the biggest victory along with military victories of IRGC is that they never for a single hour allowed the enemy to touch Iranian economy (through tit-for-tat deterrence). IRI is still selling oil at around ~2 MBPD since the war started while choking the rest. The greater the differential against PGCC, the better the IRI will be in position to dominate the market post war.

Asked if he is concerned the people of Iran, a country of 93 million people, could suffer if civilian infrastructure is hit, Trump said:

No, they want us to do it.

• WSJ

This is what happens when you have a deluded diaspora, spreading bullshit propaganda that others then believe

I believe Israil will hit what they are saying. I am not sure about the outcome, iran can inflict the same damage on PGCC using SRBMs and Drones but delivering the same level blow to israil is questionable not because of will but because of capability.

MRBMs have CEP issues, Standoff munition or guided bombs are required for pinpoint accuracy which can be delivered by Jets/Bombers.
Everyday the war goes longer the missiles get direct hits even if several days only 1 out 5 or even 10 hit directly only thing Iran needs to do is make sure they don’t stop no matter what

Spot on in a few aspects. Like the Americans knew the whereabouts of the pilot.
But surprisingly, the USA sent an armada. Thus, if the Iranians didn't know early, they surely knew when the armada arrived. Is that the reason why the USA lost so many assets? Surely, it is something to ponder.

The guy you quoted is spot on about the advantage the rescuers had vs the Iranians. I believe the Iranians must have known the general location of the airman and were there to try to neutralize any rescue team. That explains the successful rescue and the considerable loss of the American assets.
PS. Yesterday I had mentioned to @Persian Gulf that the airman was probably alive given all the resources to try to rescue him. I had said that either the Iranians are whisking him away far from the location or the airman was hiding in some 'ravine' using tracking devices to be rescued. Well he turned out hiding in a 'crevice' but I wasn't far off!

It was a failed operation to extract the enriched uranium from Isfahan nuclear facility.

35 miles on foot to and 35 miles back, carrying the injured pilot while under fire is too far fetched for me. They didn't use a helicopter?

ATTENTION : The skull of a deceased American crew member was allegedly found among the wreckage of one of the C-130s

SUSPICIOUS: 200 special forces on 2 C-130 planes each carrying 2 little birds. Where did the soldiers sit?

The math ain’t mathing. There was more aircraft in the area or they are lying about the troop count to embellish the story.

Also why would you send 200 soldiers for 1 pilot when a smaller foot print is harder to detect?
