Of-course thats expected, the scale of the strikes on GCC will widen with time as GCC are not responding to Iran's request of not letting US/Israel use their airspace/airbases to launch attacks on Iran to kill Iranian children. I mean what else the GCC is expecting?

Personally I believe Iran is showing restraint. Like if I imagine, if Afghanistan lets its airbases to India to attack Pakistan, I am sure in response Pakistan will annihilate whole of Afghan bases and Afghan armies too, and will probably even nuke Afghanistan if they don't learn the lesson even in more than a month time.

Ya, I don't agree with that logic, especially if the country like Oman or Qatar who don't even support this war and there has been no real proof they are involved, or that any attacks are coming from their territory. Yet they still get targeted directly, and not just the US bases either, even their infrastructure. That's not logic I can agree with at all, the ones that should be targeted the hardest and the most in retaliation are the ones attacking and dropping the bombs, not the ones that aren't and just happen to be conveniently close to you.

But regardless, that wasn't even the point I replied to. OP said Iran is only targeting US bases there, which is completely false. Thats what I was refuting.

We did hit LNG production facilities in Qatar, but it was several weeks ago and our attacks on Qatar were mostly focused on US military bases. Anyway, they seem to have stopped.

As for Oman, we haven't launched missiles at them as far as I know. And one or two strikes reported there were rejected by the IRGC as false flag.

The goal isn’t the Litani River anymore. It’s supposedly only a small buffer zone to stop the short range rocket attacks.

Ok clearly its starting to look like most of strikes against Iran were done by stand off munitions and drones.

Some overhead bombs are being used, either by stealth planes or taking specific routes that hides them from radars.

Iran probably found some of these routes hence the higher rate of air defence successes in recent days.

Now the fact the US was willing to sacrifice so much to save this one pilot, makes one think that they are not expecting to lose much over Iran and hence would mean they don't have long term prospects for this war. I.e hoping to finish it before stand off munitions run out.

They don't have any good options, so will try any crazy thing, bomb civilian infrastructure, backchannel threats of nucleur attacks all which will fail.

Limited ground invasion doesn't make sense unless for P.R.

Trumps best option is to simply interdict iranian tankers, better option than taking kharg. Not doing so already makes one think there are heavy consequences to do so, or they are timing it.

I can understand what’s happening

Iran has closed the Straits of Hormuz and I see this like what happened in 1956 when France and Egypt lost the war against Egypt and it started the decline of those 2 nations from global top spots and Egypt took over the canal

If Iran nationalises the straits of Hormuz and so far they are charging $1 per barrel

So a 3 million barrel oil tanker will pay $3 million to Iran

But here’s the big point , that payment is not in petro dollars it’s in Chinese Yuan

This means oil won’t be traded in dollars but yuan

This accelerates the decline of the USA even further

It makes China stronger and USA weaker which is why Americans are in absolute panic
