Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

rt

i agree but probably right even with cover ups on military sites but definitely in the beginning they had plenty of interceptors to blunt the initial attacks not anymore though
There was a report last week claiming that 80% were getting through but here come JP Morgan with a claim of "27%". I thought JP Morgan was a bank, not an impartial military expert source. Professor Ted Postal of MIT who is an expert in the field says that Interception rates were never higher than 3-4% at best, most here believes the hype that they had a 97% success rate of Interception.

My point wasn’t the Efficiency of the platform but picking up the radar signals of Americans 5th Gen platforms.

This is one of the rare times F-22 and F-35 are flying without their RCS reflectors.

To be honest, the rcs of the 5th gen aircrafts is not that hard to be detected, especially in the dawn of the 6th gen aircrafts.

The US is worried that their 5th gen aircrafts might be risked of getting knocked down, so they might simply conduct less sorties with the 5th gen aircrafts.

If you keep knocking down their 4th gen aircrafts like the F-15 and F-16, you might have a chance to lure more 5th gen aircrafts, and you might get more chance to knock it down.

Well when your launching 6 to 12 interceptors in the beginning of the war you can expect higher interception rates to be fair also you have multiple countries helping them now these countries are like damn we helped them out but now we getting the raw deal

hmm the F-22 fighter is not as efficient as the F-15E Strike Eagle...which is the two man version of the single seat F-15 fighter...and is designed for ground attack.

Yet they are flying over Iran on attack missions...

Too bad Iran didn't find you guys worthy enough to knock on your door.
Nor have you offered fighters to help them defend their airspace.

No needs to be salty, you can also try to knock down China's prestige 6th gen aircraft via some sort of proxy war with the future given opportunity.

What's your opinion on the outcome ? Just curiosity.
Am going to guess of Cold War and Desert Storm?

The Cold War was an absolute necessity. When I was on the F-111E (RAF Upper Heyford), I managed to snag a controlled tour to East Berlin. Yes, back then active duty personnels can play tourists in communist countries under appropriate conditions, anyway, after three days in East Berlin, I returned to the West with renewed conviction that resisting communism was the morally righteous thing to do.

As for Desert Storm, Iraq under Saddam Hussein must be contained and after the invasion of Kuwait, he sealed his own fate with his own pen. But after DS, it was at best a C- on how the US occupied and ran the country. Some things we did right, some not. To this day, speaking for myself, I do not believe DS was the wrong thing to do, and that it was necessary.

I thought the HQ9 system Iran bought from China supposed to be able to pick up 'stealth'.

Bunk.

Why would you be sending an artillery brigade if peace is on the horizon? Or operations are wrapping up in 2 weeks.

Approximately 130 Arkansas National Guard members from the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade are deploying to the Middle East in April 2026
Well not saying they’re not planning an invasion but very underwhelming numbers for a land invasion and they need half a million troops just from America and than have much of these Arab militaries to be part of it unless I see half a million or more troops ready to invade if this some kind of ok we will take the island or coast with 10 or 20 thousand troops that’s not going to happen

Iran never reached the HQ-9. The last major weapon system China provided Iran was C-802/C-801 in late 90’s.

Iran’s relationship with China has been largely focused in components, raw materials, and precursor fuels. Even many of its electronics come from Western or European off the shelf parts rather than Chinese.

Quite simply China and Iran don’t have strong military ties as China has avoided upsetting its Arab economic ties. also China already has Pakistan which doesn’t come with the geopolitical headaches that dealing with Iran does and who does a better job at containing India.
