Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I think Munir is headed straight for talks after receiving Vance. Hence, the suit and not the uniform.

What’s behind Pakistan army chief’s attire while receiving delegates

By Abid Hussain
Reporting from Islamabad, Pakistan
When the Iranian delegation arrived in Islamabad on Friday night, Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, received them in military fatigues. On Saturday morning, when US Vice President J D Vance landed, he was wearing a suit.

Does the switch signal anything, or is there a protocol behind it?

A former general, who also served under Pakistan’s last military ruler Pervez Musharraf, says there is no fixed instruction on what an army chief must wear when receiving such delegations.

“Usually, their staff suggests what they should wear, or other times it is the desire of the chief himself, what influence he wants to project. Under the Musharraf era, when I was in service, he would meet delegations sometimes in uniform and other times in a suit,” the general told Al Jazeera on condition of anonymity.

Another recently retired general also said the question of the chief’s attire was “perhaps a non-issue”.

“Protocols obviously vary greatly when it comes to meeting presidents or vice presidents. Normally for such VIPs, the army chief is not part of the welcome party. But we are living in extraordinary times, these are not usual protocols,” he told Al Jazeera.

The deviation from normal protocol, he added, reflects the importance of the ceasefire talks “not just for Pakistan, but for the world”.

India is the worst casualty of the Iran war from oil and gas to fertilizers. And China is one of the least affected by the war, China has been preparing for such scenario of energy supplies choke for decades.

FM, COAS, CDF Syed Asim Munir does not need to be in Uniform for that purpose, I hope you are not under the impression that, He can only perfom his duties when in Uniform.

anyway, not the topic of this thread, just wanted to point out.
Why do we have politicize everything ? There's a simple explanation ! FM muneer had a very busy day , he may not have enough time to doff his uniform and get into the civies ....

Vladimir Putin “has spent years building a coalition of the discontented around the premise that authoritarian states can outlast Western pressure,” Nicole Grajewski writes. “Iran, which has absorbed the most pressure and held the longest, is his proof of concept.”

His face looks like he is going through an existential crisis.
Easy , Dar has dislocated shoulder , that's the reason for his awkward posture... otherwise he's a well dressed man though not very sophisticated.

Israel and U.S. killed 3000+ Iranians in 6 weeks of war by bombing 15000+ targets with 500-2000 pound bombs.

But they want you to believe that the Iranian government killed 45,000 Iranians in 1 week using pistols and rifles in January “protests”.

U tell them that they will just say, "this proves Israel and America are trying their best not to kill civilians"

Yes, I am aware of his dislocated shoulder. That doesn't explain his facial expressions.

Israeli attempts to advance into Bint Jbeil thwarted as Hezbollah blocks encirclement
——
Beirut Review reports that heavy fighting continues around the southern Lebanese village of Bint Jbeil, where Lebanese resistance fighters are preventing Israeli forces from surrounding and storming the city despite days of attempts aimed at achieving a symbolic military victory.

For three consecutive days, Israeli forces attempted to advance from the eastern and northeastern axes after deploying troops in Aitaroun, Maroun al-Ras, and Ainata, using the northeast axis as the main route toward the city, but resistance ambushes, rocket fire, and artillery strikes halted the advance near the Moussa Abbas complex and Saf al-Hawa area.

Israeli forces also attempted to expand their presence on 8 April and used remote-controlled bulldozers and demolition operations near homes to create the impression of entering the city and detect resistance positions, while infiltration attempts from the western axis near Ain Ebel and the southern axes near Yaroun and Maroun al-Ras failed to secure stable positions or advance toward Hadatha to complete an encirclement.

Israeli presence remains limited to small positions on surrounding hills, with resistance fighters maintaining readiness in nearby towns and preventing Israeli forces from reaching the Bint Jbeil stadium, a symbolic objective linked to the 2000 declaration by the former Secretary General of Hezbollah that Israel is “weaker than a spider’s web.”

I'm sceptical of a breakthrough as well, but commend Pakistan for the effort to bring peace. We can only hope something positive comes about and that somehow Israel is left isolated and made to fight by itself.
Let Israel do dirty job (FCK world economy) alone is likely USA plan.

Besides the West hasn't suffered yet economic effects of strait closure.

But it will happen coming weeks.

In 3 weeks it will be shortage of kerosene for air flights in Europe.

So public opinion against Iran war will grow in the west.

It will change nothing, it will be war as well, maybe stronger because Iran will have more resources.
And the hypocrite and liar USA will have the perfect scapegoat: Israel.

I generally hold positive views on Erdoğan, but my one complaint is that he talks a lot but seldom acts. I would take his "we would have joined the war" with a pinch of salt. If he and others didn't join the war during the Gaza genocide, I don't think they would have done so now.
Sooner or later Israel will start with Syria. He knows as there are a sunrise each morning. Israel will never let a Syria becoming again a modern country with professional and modern army supported by Turkey.

But I agree he would never join the war against Israel. Turkey is a NATO country and will be expelled from all of structure of NATO; from decision making to logistics and cooperation pacts and agreements.

NATO is dead. EU need to improvise an army (it will take years and will be decaffeined) and therefore Turkey will look to East, with Pakistan as partner and mechanisms of understanding with Irán.

Israel it is out of control, anything can happen and Turkey cannot rely on US, the dying NATO and EU to stop Israel. So that means Turkey and Irán are doomed to understanding.

Irán has been successful implementing a strategy of impregnable missiles cities and ballistic missiles. And there can be cooperation between two countries to develop combined estrategies.
