Exactly there is no going back... Iran barely even used any cruise or anti ship missiles with effective ranges that cover the whole of the Gulf. Any ship inside is effectively hostage.

They focused primarily on simple ballistic missiles.....because by their inherent nature of working physics, Ballistic missiles go terminal at high speed which gives them the best chance at ploughing through the air defenses.

US is there for the minnows... the statelets with deep pockets. I don't think any US presence in the region is good for future stability. As US will remain the only one to coerce or sabotage any effective peace in the region... but most likely to undermine it for the benefit of zion.

What will be interesting(slightly off topic of course) is if UAE allows the Indian Airforce, or Israeli Airforce to deploy/operate from the UAE in the future. (Just a crazy thought - nothing else, though that would cross multiple red lines of multiple countries in the region).
