We lost Iran Centrifuge Assembly Center (ICAC) in the June war. We cannot assemble new centrifuges. And nobody knows how many centrifuges are intact and functional. I hope we still have some enrichment capacity and build the bomb before things get even worse.

Hints from the talks suggest this to be true. My own impression of the two sides eventually having face-to-face discussions is that they had actually reached some form of an agreement, but then additional demands were introduced, resulting in the breakdown. He is not wrong Hamas got played right into Israel hands on October 7th and gave them a reason to mass murder.

Over the last decade, Israel was expanding it's occupation whilst the Arabs and others were rewarding Israel with recognition
