If this is true, who actually are the "Higher Leadership"? Does it really exist or is it virtual? Why did a busload of people go to Islamabad meeting lacking the ability to make a decision? If another meeting is held, how will this problem be resolved unless the "Higher Leadership" comes to the table?

I think Iran will most likely prefer Russia over China as its foremost strategic partner esp in security matters simply because of their geopolitics that includes geographical proximity and past military cooperation history.

Also, China does not like to use force to solve problems, while Russia likes it. Being friends with China lacks sufficient sense of security, except for North Korea and Vietnam.

China is also an atheist country and a weirdo in this world.

Retireds here were explaining all the superhuman type capabilities of that unit, like how one MEU member is equal to 1000 Normal poor soldier. I mentioned that North Korea and Vietnam are exceptions.

To the east of China is the Pacific Ocean, to the north is the Siberian Ice Sheet, to the northwest is the Great Desert, and to the west is the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. The only channels that can invade China are North Korea and Vietnam.

So if any hostile forces invade North Korea and Vietnam, China will immediately consider using force to solve the problem.

From my understandings, I think only North Korea is China's formal ally and China won't let US army occupy it. Pakistan and Russia are sort of informal allies for China, so if they are invaded, China will likely provide utmost military assistance. Vietnam is not critical to China's security now, China won't likely get involved if it is invaded again by other country unless the fighting is near its border with China, one reason is China got burned by Vietnam after its war with US.
