If Trump had not won and Kamala Harris had won in November 2024 then Israel, which was at its knees by late 2024, would be forced by Kamala to behave and thus she was widely feared and hated by the Israelis and their supporters in America. Trump's victory was something the Israelis, especially Netanyahu really really wanted and they worked toward that.

I think that was benefitting the UAE more than Iran. They play a similar role between India and Pakistan where the trade between the two countries is routed via UAE rather than directly. A replacement for the UAE and the services it provides can be found.

Its not just Iranians, we need to treat them accordingly as well. UAE was missing from the list of countries Shahbaz visited. Saudi, Qatar and Türkiye. UAE can of course bring India into the equation, lets see how far that one goes (UAE has become a cesspool full of Indians anyway). I am of the opinion that UAE cannot be brought back into the folds without "structural" changes within the ruling hierarchy. We keep on having these tantrums every few years from the same suspects. Regime change would be ideal.

In the end, if the pragmatics and reformists in Iran want to again refuse to listen to the hardline factions then anything else that comes cements their own fate. Iran has been doing this for over 20 years and still haven’t learned their lesson.

They should no longer complain to the world when US doesn’t follow international agreements.

There’s place for pragmatism & reforms in most cases but there are some issues that demand an absolute hardline. This is a prime example of that.

Even if Iran had a token nuclear program and such an offer was made to Iran. Iran should have & must say an emphatic “NO”. Just as matter of principle.

Aware of that.

Iran routing its finance through UAE is symbiotic, that gives benefits to the UAE as well.

I am guessing they’ve mitigated this risk through setting up infrastructure to move their money in different countries as well.

After this war, its only natural Iran views UAE as an adversary but it will be too extreme to burn all the bridges.

I saw just a few minutes starting minute 7. So learning from the June 2025 conflict, Iran was better prepared now. Logically speaking, then, this ceasefire works more for Iran. As many have said: The Americans and the Israelis didn't need the ceasefire to rearm themselves. There is a reason why only the Israelis don't like the current ceasefire.
The ongoing ceasefire work better for Iran!!

That's false. Iran received mi 28 night hunter helicopters from Russia and it received a satellite from china that it used for effective tracking and targetting of US assets in the region.

You all have to remember 2 things:

1. Not all sales of weapons or systems to iran are public or visible

2. technology is as important as wespons in the tje modern worldl we love in. China could sell technology that has detrimental impact on its enemies,similar to offensive weapons , but they might not offensive weapons systems.
