They need a justification to sell the war to their people. Europe is not the USA.

Meanwhile, if Iran didn't worry about the USNC resolution but still accepted the ceasefire, then that's even worse. It shows we are ruled by a bunch of incompetent imbeciles who will lose the war if they are that retarded. Otherwise, the only rational conclusion is that China's veto of the UNSC resolution was dependent on our acceptance of the ceasefire. Things like this are never a mere coincidence.

They don’t need any justification. They’ve been selling this war for decades with all the anti-Iranian propaganda they’ve been pushing all this time. Besides, if they need to sell it to their people, how does Bahrains resolution do that exactly? Are the Europeans going to be like «we have so many fking problems, but yeah, let’s join Israel’s war against Iran and waste some trillions, because our honorable Bahraini brothers led a UNSC resolution?»

I dont know why Iran accepted the ceasefire. But I don’t believe it was because of Chinas vote on the resolution
