There is a cargo train between Iran and Pakistan, would be interesting to see if they could use it for oil exports for the Pakistani market, thereby not having to rely on oil tankers. Appreciate is capacity per is less, but you can run the line continuously though.

According to Google Ai it takes 10,000 to 12,500 tanker truck trips to transport 2million barrels of oil(each truck can carry about 200 barrels ), so a fleet of a few hundred on a loop across the new land cargo routes, can meet Pakistan needs in an emergency situation from Iran.

It is a shame that Pakistan has so few oil storage facilities as I am sure the Iranians wouldn't mind if Pakistan stored some oil for them.

The question is, will Iran start to militarily contest this with speed boats, and other form of attacks ? We may find out quite soon on that front.
