Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

I don't know what's wrong with Pakistan.Last time they supported Taliban against the US, it didn't turn well for Pakistan.

From the comments to the Mark Levin tweet just posted above, the six Pakistani trade corridors to Iran don't amount to much and so maybe ignored by Washington.

Quwa highlighted an excellent point in its recent podcast.
Iran has habit of firing missiles on its neighbors. Pakistani leadership thinks by getting goodwill of IRGC will somehow keep Pakistan safe but that's ridiculous approach.

It's Taliban-2 approach all over the place.

Unless you host American military bases used to attack Iran, you have nothing to worry about

So you want US sitting in both Afghanistan and Iran? On Pakistan's border? Deal with a super power on the other side of the world with a propped up Afghan military and intel service that they themselves cannot afford but work as proxy for foreign interests including India against neighboring states. And of course repeat the same in Iran with a propped up baby shah and a collapsed states for decades to come.

Pakistan can deal with Afghans without external support and Iran is a 90+ million strong nation that borders it.
Your position is essentially help local mob occupy and seize your neighbors home because you feared the mobster and now can't sleep knowing the same will come for your home. It is a shame that yoj have to expose your personal insecurities out in the open, can't get anything done and blame the world for your problems.

Does he have any comment on why the Iranian rial is losing its value again? He says he has a PhD in economics after all. New protests will happen soon if the government doesn't stop the devaluation of the Iranian rial.

I don’t think anyone seriously believes the rial will do anything other than lose value when Iran is in a war with two nuclear powers and subject to a naval blockade

I am sure the U.S. is doing its best to engineer the currency depreciation and more riots, Bessent proudly admitted as much last time

Sustained economic pressure is quite often more potent than even direct warfare, geopolitically speaking.

It is more effective at punishing civilians on a large scale basis, sure

But no evidence it has achieved policy objectives in Iran despite many decades of such sanctions. The U.S. is addicted to economic sanctions and forgets that the purpose is to achieve an objective, not to be an end in itself

I don't think the current naval blockade is really comparable to the sanctions of the past. Yes, the sanctions were harsh but Iran had continued to trade with many countries of the world for decades and, more importantly, Iran got a lot of $$ by selling its oil. When I see the numbers from the oil sales, it is staggering and mouth watering for countries like Pakistan. Still Iran hasn't done well enough using that revenue/wealth. Maybe corruption and inefficiencies but also seems like a kind of 'nanny state': Doling out the largesse. One Iranian journalist on a Pakistani channel was bragging about how cheap the gasoline/petrol is--like dirt cheap. Iran has done far better than Venezuela overall but still like Venezuela, Iran squandered its riches. It could have done a lot better.

Having said that, I will be surprised if people rise up despite the hardships. The country is in a war for its very survival and people are more united under their flag than before the war began. Plus I hear spies and/or rebels are being hunted down in Iran and there are executions of such people, so there is also the fear factor against any uprisings.

IRGC/China/Russia would love for the U.S. to deploy their hypersonic

So the morons with their "air superiority" are now about to deploy for use more expensive missiles to hit targets which only a tactical nuke can take out. Level of inept thinking by this admin and military brass is mind boggling.

A ground war in Iran will look like this.

No it wont. The US does not use Soviet cannon-fodder style ground tactics.
