Let me put it straight for you:
Taliban were harboured in Pakistan giving them much needed breathing space to survive.
Now since Iran is under naval blockade, opening land trade routes gives them breathing space and that's a ridiculous thing to do.

It's like my neighbor fired bullets on me, although I responded in kind, but if he gets in deadlock somewhere else - i would be stupid to support him out.

There are easier ways to achieve that... eventhough there is a ceasefire, a unilateral one per clown in chief, the war is on going!

The war never stopped and everything other than the ceasefire by orange has been continuation of that... it was economic before anything! Mossadegh was removed for Iranian resources. It remains about Iranian resources! Control of access! Even the immediate neighbors cannot access without getting channeled from the west, US specifically. No one had to buy in dollars or pay this much yet they are... the whole world is paying the price for war that Orange started. The manchild lost and can't seem to get a face saver. So in your parallel reality Pakistan should have accepted northern alliance hybrid regime that was overtly anti Pakistan and had the backing of both US and India... all the while Pakistan was being lit up regardless of who it supported. An Afghanistan with its Saleh in charge who still spews venom against Pakistan and had several hundred thousand security forces paid for by th US. Instead of isolated Afghan Taliban who echo the same as the former regime but with no one's overt help... and Pakistan can deal with them directly while when Salala happened Pakistan closed it's border and later opened with less than an apology!!! Took bodies without replying in kind... which online warriors cheer Pakistan along for another conflict because Iran targeted groups inside Pakistan, not harbored by the state... and Pakistan replied in kind... unfortunately civilians died on both sides in that tit for tat.
