It’s not impossible for Iron Dome to hit a BM. We saw it during the war. It can get lucky. It’s just unlikely to happen and you will have to shoot a lot of them (20+).

Maybe more likely it shot down Iranian shaheed drone and they just want to brag and say it was a missile.

it is somewhat arbitrary and we can only speculate

it is clear the UAE has adopted very hostile policies towards Iran during the ceasefire, far more so than any other Arab country

and they have been widening their military cooperation with Israel in recent months

and Iran needs to disrupt the Fujairah terminal to maintain pressure on global oil prices, as our main leverage in response to the US blockade
