Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

It means

USN ships transiting doesn't mean the strait is open.
It means Iran recognises destroyers are maybe too hard of a target to be worth the expenditure of munitions to land a hit, when their goal is to keep commercial vessels bottled up.

As long as the closure of the Hormuz is largely in tact it doesn't even matter about the destroyers

If anything they become trapped as opposed to defending anything

Just the game that needs to be played, remember we have thousands of citizens in the UAE

We can't just come out and say " you Zionist pigs get what you deserve" even if it's true
Yeah, that's true. My point was that both countries condemned Iran.

Nevertheless, I am surprised that this incident hasn't affected oil prices much yet. I wonder what was hit exactly.

The UAE is a dystopia. It's a brutally repressive absolute monarchy where modern-day slavery is rampant. 90% of the population is foreign born, most of whom are poor migrant workers from South Asia who suffer from extreme abuse in the slave-like kafala system.

The UAE supports the Israeli colonial regime as it commits genocide against the Palestinian people.

The UAE is extremely close to Donald Trump and has engaged in very shady acts of corruption to enrich him and his family in return for political favors.

And the UAE hosts US military bases and other facilities that have been used by the US regime to wage a war of aggression against Iran. This is why the UAE is a legitimate target. https://x.com/amjadt25/statu/amjadt25/status/2051323794606915726

Oil markets are being manipulated, but their is only so much they can do

Iran needs a deal, Iran needs sanctions to be removed
And iran also needs to set itself up for the future

Iran simply cannot walk away without sanctions relief, otherwise the war is ongoing and they will just strangle Iran economically

So Trump and the U.S are resisting, and Iran simply has no choice but to drag this out and cause economic pain until a deal can be made

They are trying to do the same to Iran and it's a question of who will break first
Iranians will suffer more, but if they can hold out they can change their future and remain independent and emerge as a hegemon in the middle east

At this moment in time all Iranians need to be together, it's essential

Nobody would give you a fair deal when you are weak. There will be no sanctions relief.

The clock has started ticking on Iran. Sad but true.

Iranian media: The Emiratis, in coordination with the United States, attempted to gather vessels and push them through the Strait of Hormuz in order, as they saw it, to neutralise Iran’s strategic leverage.

The Islamic Republic’s first response was reportedly to order ships to evacuate and withdraw from Ras Al Khaimah's port towards Dubai.

Since this morning, new operational boundaries for managing the Strait of Hormuz have reportedly been announced. These include pressure on all ports belonging to what Iranian media described as the “United Hebrew Emirates,” which Tehran presents as a calibrated response to the enemy’s naval blockade plan.

According to the same sources, another Emirati oil tanker attempted to cross the Strait under the protection of an American frigate. The frigate, allegedly sailing with its radar switched off, was met with warning fire, while the oil tanker was struck by a drone.

On several other occasions, commercial vessels, oil tankers and U.S. naval units reportedly attempted to cross the Strait. Each time, they were met with verbal and operational warnings.

Iran says US forces attacked civilian boats, killing 5 in the Strait of Hormuz

The Iranians are saying that the Americans have attacked civilian boats and killed five civilians, Al Jazeera reports.

They are denying that the boats that the Americans claim to have hit belong to Iran’s IRGC. Rather, they are saying they were civilian boats.

They are also saying that the US destroyers attempted to enter the Strait of Hormuz and their radar was off.

Once the radar was on, they were detected because the naval forces of Iran are monitoring the region, and once they were identified, the Iranian naval forces engaged them, and warning shots were fired.

These warning shots included combat drones, missiles and rockets, and, as a result, they are saying the US destroyers were forced to turn away.

They are also making clear warnings, saying any further attempt by the US naval forces to enter the Strait of Hormuz is going to be regarded as a violation of the ceasefire.

Update on the latest news.

1. The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi will visit China on May 6 at the invitation.

2. Due to the escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, which threaten Iran's ceasefire agreement, Israel is coordinating with the United States. The coordination work includes preparing for a possible new round of strikes against Iran, with strike targets focusing on energy infrastructure and the targeted elimination of senior Iranian officials.
