Its quite simple really, its a process. Iran was reduced to a fairly backward state, economically and technologically. Her proxies served as fuel for the ever expanding zionist state. The focus on Iran now is about applying what they had hoped for Syria, to break the state up and allow those balkanised states to war with each other.
