On the afternoon of the 18th Eastern Time, U.S. President Trump posted on social media that, at the request of the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, he has ordered a delay of the military strike on Iran that was "originally scheduled for tomorrow (the 19th)."

Trump said that the U.S. and Iran are engaged in "serious negotiations," and the leaders of the three aforementioned countries believe that the U.S. and Iran will eventually reach an agreement "acceptable to the United States as well as all countries in the Middle East and even beyond." Importantly, the agreement will stipulate that "Iran shall not possess nuclear weapons."

Trump stated that out of respect for these leaders, he has instructed U.S. Secretary of Defense Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Milley, and the U.S. military not to carry out the planned strike on Iran on the 19th. At the same time, he has required the U.S. military to be ready, so that if a satisfactory agreement is not reached, they can launch a "full-scale, massive" attack on Iran at any time.

Earlier that day, Trump told U.S. media in an interview that after receiving Iran's "disappointing" latest proposal, he is not considering making any concessions to Iran.

On the 18th, Iran's Tasnim News Agency cited sources reporting that Iran has sent the latest negotiating text, containing 14 points, to the U.S. via Pakistan, with the core content focused on "ending the war" and the trust-building measures the U.S. should take. Later, U.S. Axios news website quoted senior U.S. officials reporting that the White House believes Iran's latest proposal shows no substantial improvement and is insufficient as a basis for reaching an agreement, and that Trump is considering restarting military action.

China is already superior to US in many aspects.

1) China's GDP PPP is 37% larger than US (44,3trln$ vs 32,3trln$).

2) China's manufacturing is twice larger than US by value with China having 33% of global manufacturing compared to 16% in USA.

But since Chinese manufactured goods are cheaper than US and if we calculate by volume than China's manufacturing is 3 times larger than that of the US.

3) China produces 1,1mln scientific publications compared to 400K in USA and China makes 1,7mln patent applications compared to only 600K in USA.

4) China's infrastructure is better than US infrastructure and architecture of Chinese cities is superior to US cities.

5) Since the top 20% of Chinese produce 45% of GDP and the top 40% of Chinese produce 70% of GDP, with the GDP PPP of 44,3trln, China has 280mln people with GDP PPP per capita of 71.000$ (comparable to Canada or Germany) and 560mln people with GDP PPP per capita of 56.000$ (comparable to Japan or Spain.)

Saying in other words, out of 1,4bln people China has 280mln people who enjoy standard of living like Canada or Germany or 560mln people with standard of living like Japan or Spain.

The only thing in which China is inferior to USA is military power and China will reach military parity with USA in 2035 and this will make China #1 power of the world.

We are a developing country.

According to the documents issued by the highest meeting, China is still in and will long remain in the primary stage of socialism. China's international status as the world's largest developing country has not changed.

We have no intention of competing with the United States for hegemony, and we are not interested in such competition. At the same time, we will not accept Russia's defeat. China and Russia must cooperate to resist U.S. hegemonism and NATO's expansion.

US is a warmongering nation. They will never stop waging war in the world one after another until their country is destroyed. They never and don't want to learn from their past mistakes on wars. Iran war is their worst defeat after Vietnam war, but they learns nothing. The next one on their plate is Cuba the orange man already said. This is why I say no one in the West takes China seriously. They're just after money, nothing else. Pakistanis get excited thinking China will come to their aid. Well they will...as much as they came to the aid of Iranians or any of their 'allies' - lip service basically.

BREAKING: The Pentagon reveals Trump paused the strikes on Iran not for negotiations as he claimed, but because Iran is becoming rapidly more effective at tracking US air operations, improving its air defenses and becoming too strong at detecting signs of a surprise attack, per NYT.

We have not tried to appease the United States; the United States does not have that capability.

The most important outcome of China-US talks is to avoid direct confrontation, which is what the United States hopes for.

The slow decline of the United States is the best choice, rather than beheading the United States directly. US dollar debt, US dollar investments, international trade, other countries’ US dollar reserves, US dollar-denominated assets, and the potential leakage of the US nuclear arsenal would all have a huge impact on the world.
