Oh man, this is what the Arabs get for their services to the American empire?

By service, you mean kissing the @$$? Lesson for many around the world who are crossing every limit in doing the TC of Trump... lol

Reports of a deal are from Axios so must be taken with healthy dose of scepticism

The terms seem to kick the can down the road with Iran effectively admitting the U.S. naval blockade was effective and we are willing to open the Strait of Hormoz if the blockade is lifted

Nuclear redlines remain much too far apart so the negotiations will not succeed and a new status quo will be established where the Strait is open

This is not advantageous to Iran. The U.S. is conceding talks on humanitarian goods, which should never been a point of leverage to begin with. No frozen (stolen) funds to be returned during this period either.

You are right, and I would caution that we all must wait for all the details to be made known first. Let us hope peace prevails.

Honest advice to Iran (and this was as true 10 weeks ago as it is now):

Don't open the Strait for free, under ANY circumstances. Not "temporarily", not as a "confidence building" gesture or for any other mythological purpose. The MINUTE you open it, multiple nations will militarise it. Then it's game over for Iran.

Whatever your leaders' plan is for the Strait, double down on it. Do not bottle it now. USA will HAVE TO ACCEPT your transit charges sooner or later. Let them spin it however they want, let them call it a "victory" or a "regime change", but don't lose de facto control of that Strait.

sensible choice. Its "self defense" until they will deplete your defences and then turn you into another Syria. They are not interested in any ceasefire but to subjugate Iran one way or another. They have continuously broken the ceasefire "agreement" from day one. They are trying to stabilize the economy. Its the dumba*s Iranians fault for playing along again. Burn the Persian gulf down to show that you mean business. Kill the mouse to scare the lion. We all know who the mouse here is. Meanwhile UAE is militarizing by having Israeli forces create a base there to close the distance to attack Iran.

A proportional response to the attacks this morning would be to hit Miami US coast guards boats

Unfortunately it will never happen

The technology to do such far off remote attacks exists, as was previously hinted at, does it not?

It seems vessels are no longer scared of IRGC and the strait is becoming a tad more leaky as vessels get sneak out when IRGC is not paying attention.

This is what happens when you fail to upload deterrence.
