Speaking to Al Mayadeen, Saeid Ajorloo, a member of the media team close to the Iranian negotiating delegation, said that the US-Iran agreement includes a clause that would allow Iran’s withdrawal if the Americans renege on returning $14 billion of its frozen assets.
He highlighted that so far, the Iranian side has not approved the Memorandum of Understanding and has not informed the Pakistani mediator of an approval.
Ajorloo noted that if the Americans violate any of the terms of the understanding, Iran will revert to its current measures in the Strait of Hormuz.
Suffice to say that some just simply don't understand how strategic the control of Hormuz really is for Iran. It has tremendous security implications... detrimental to the state!
Let go now and forever lose the claim.
