I also don't believe that this makes Trump look like a 'righteous' figure. I have some evidence here.
The United States and Iran have been negotiating through Pakistan's diplomatic efforts. However, the draft agreement for the US-Iran negotiations, which was about to be finalized, underwent significant changes due to Trump's intervention.
On May 28, Netanyahu announced that the control area of Gaza would be further expanded from 60% to 70%.
On May 29, Trump convened the National Security team in the White House Situation Room. Trump demanded major revisions to the draft agreement and then presented a tougher proposal to Iran.
The main points of Trump's revisions are as follows:
1. Trump demanded that the timeline for the US to obtain and receive Iran's nuclear material stockpile be determined and that restrictions on Iran’s future nuclear activities be strengthened.
2. Trump demanded that Iran unconditionally open the Strait of Hormuz.
3. Trump was unwilling to give up the leverage of 'unfreezing Iran's overseas assets.'
On June 1, Israel issued an evacuation warning to southern Beirut in Lebanon. The Bofort Castle in southern Lebanon is occupied by Israel. Currently, Israeli forces pose a military threat to Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.
My view is: This is the 'salami slicing' tactic often used by the US. The US pretends to negotiate with Iran to delay the negotiations. Israel continuously attacks Lebanon until it fully achieves its expansion plan.
This tactic is also applied to the Gaza area. The US has used its veto power at the United Nations seven times to protect Israel. Israel has continuously occupied Gaza territory. The US used 'peace' to entice the Palestinian government, obtained the Palestinian government's consent, and then established the 'Gaza Peace Committee.' In reality, Israel basically controls the Gaza area and blocks external humanitarian supplies from entering.
The US-led 'Peace Committee' has not brought peace to the people of Gaza.
The US-led ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel has not brought peace to the Lebanese people. Israel has repeatedly used 'eliminating threats' and 'forward defense' as excuses to invade Lebanon.
We need to clearly see that the US is Israel’s protective umbrella. Behind Israel’s crimes against humanity is a larger state supporting anti-humanitarian actions.
