As I suspected, these waves of strikes against US bases in Kuwait are in response to the U.S. attacking Qeshm Island earlier today, though we don’t yet know what triggered that.

As I suspected, these waves of strikes against US bases in Kuwait are in response to the U.S. attacking Qeshm Island earlier today, though we don’t yet know what triggered that.

Appears the US struck a Botswana-flagged vessel that was headed for Kharg.

Indeed, but this is a separate event to the U.S. bombing Qeshm Island, which is what triggered Iran’s retaliatory strikes (per the IRGC’s statement). We don’t know why the U.S. bombed Qeshm yet. That part is still murky.
