Hopefully someday you'd be able to visit Iran when all this madness ends. It's unfortunate that Iranians and Americans are enemies now. No matter what people say here, the Americans were by far better friends of Iran than the Russians or the Chinese will ever be.

So many doomers and gloomers on the Iranian side it's hilarious. It's been this way since 2024. In any case, let's see what happens. One thing is obvious, during this war at least as far as I know, the Iranian official statements have been a lot more true than the American ones. Like a million times more true. Take everything the US and especially Trump says with huge grains of salt.

Especially Shapurll. If you'd listen to him, Iran has ceased to exist 6000 years ago. Persian Gulf is gloomy and doomy also, but he was getting a lot more optimistic as the war progressed in the latter half of March. He seems back to being gloomy again. Sorry mod, just my opinion.

1, Iran is afraid of nuclear retaliation
2, Iran feels like it can't do significant damage

3. Iran is afraid of war crimes accusations and charges at ICC, after the war ends
4. Attacking those targets might be against Iran's Islamic principles.

3, I think most likely, Iran falsely believes the US is in charge rather than the other way around. Damaging PGCC damages the US economy

If that "explains" a lack of response from Iran, then that would be the single most stupid possible course of action taken by Iran this decade.

Iran must respond without restraint for any reason. All economic leverage gained hitherto by Tehran will evaporate overnight.

Iran's best bet remains forcing economic catastrophe on its opponents by leveraging its geographical advantage over the Strait and over vulnerable regional assets of its rivals.

It would appear, as feared, that Iran's poor showing following the Apache incident has emboldened both of Iran's main enemies.

The Americans turned Iran's military into one of the world's most formidable forces in late 70s. We fought the Iraqis that were armed to the teeth for 8 years with American weapons. Alborz Highschool in Tehran was established by an American presbyterian missionary to improve higher education in Iran.

The Russians didn't deliver even a single jet fighter after 5 years. It took them 25 years to build a single nuclear reactor in Bushehr and there are already way behind schedule in the other two reactors as well.

He’s trying to front run an Iranian response by claiming both sides agreed to stand down. Thus handcuffing Iran’s response, even though they didn’t agree to anything.
