You are being overtly harsh on the Chinese.

They are one of the original civilisational races along with Persian, Greek, Roman, Indus Valley.

Chinese have no interest in being a hegemonic power. Because of the brutality that it entails. And eventually they break into pieces.

China makes no false promises about being your indisputable ally.

In Bangladesh they have built reliable infrastructure cost effectively and stayed out of Bangladeshi politics.

Chinese do not demonise and gaslight Muslims 24/7 like the Hindus, Jews and high proportion of Christians.

Don’t make war with the one race not looking for a fight with Muslims.

Of course they are. I am a great admirer of the Chinese culture. I have never downplayed the achievements or the importance of the Chinese civilization.

I'm just saying that just because China is growing, it doesn't mean that the US and Europe will turn into Africa the moment their places are reversed.

That aside, building an empire takes more than just science and technology. The US inherited an empire from the British. I mean look at us, we are communicating with each other in English right now. Can you imagine us communicate in Chinese in the near future? I don't think that's possible in the next 5-10 years at all.

The US is not an empire because it has the lead in science and technology. That's just one aspect of their superiority in recent decades. There's more. It's more than money and knowledge.

As for Iran, most of our infrastructure either dates back to the time of the Shah, or before 2008 sanctions. The rest of our infrastructure has been built domestically with our own engineers.

Bullshit. Everything of value that Iran has in Iran has come from those "white people", the Japanese or the Koreans. Every high-tech lithography equipment that SAAIran used before Israel blew them up came from Japan and the Netherlands in the 90s. Every high-tech medical equipment in Iran like MRI, CT scans or tRMS machines come from Europe, particularly Germany and sometimes Japan. Our entire aviation industry is based on technology imported from those "white people". Almost our entire nuclear weapons program was based on equipment imported from those white people clandestinely. Even our education system and university professors have studied among those "white people". In all my ears in academia in Iran, never saw a researcher worth his salt that had graduated from top Chinese or Russian universities. And even if they exist, the ratio of Western educated researchers to Chinese/Russian educated researchers in Iran is like 50:1, or even worse.

And that's besides the fact that Slavs are by far one of the most xenophobic, racist Europeans ever. I would happily hand over Iran to Germans if it means to kick every Russian out of Iran. I would happily hand over Iran to Japan if it means to kick every Chinese out.

And yes, I HONESTLY believe that they will act in good faith with Iran if Iran can win this war and we reach some sort of non-belligerent status with them. But I don't think we will win this war and it is already too late for that.

The problem for the SPR is that oil manufacturing is designed to meet current needs of the economy. There is not enough spare capacity in the world to both satisfy current demand for economic activity and also refill the SPR to previous levels. This is why the Americans are desperate to remove all oil and financial sanctions as it will take years for the SPR to recover.

This is why oil prices will remain high for some time to come.
