They can not print oil. They have suppressed oil prices by selling from the SPR. No one really knows what they have. I do not believe for one minute that their stockpiles are running low. I think Iran acted with advice from China, with Pakistan acting as a Chinese proxy, and agreed to a ceasefire. Iran needed to get supplies in for the next round, possibly for months.

For sure, the borders will be redrawn when this conflict is over.

For week ending the 10th, those figures will be published tomorrow night.

Unlike some folks here who cling to Brent crude prices, I look at inventories of refined products. Gasoline and #2 diesel are both feeling pressure.

My guess is at least until the midterms are closer, since a decisive win to help the Republicans would be hugely needed by The Cheetoman's Cheating Circus by then.

SPIR will hit operational constraints around Labor Day at the current 7-9 million barrel per week depletion rate. That’s also around the same time the emergency release is scheduled to be finished.

Trump could decide to take it even lower and get us to critical levels where the salt caverns start becoming permanently exhausted if he is desperate to continue to suppress oil prices before mid terms. That will buy him another 6-8 weeks or thru Nov, assuming the market doesn’t front run this entire event and raise paper oil prices anticipating it being a likely outcome.

Both sides are playing a dangerous game of chicken.

US has now adopted much more effective strategy. Its blockade of Iranian ports and for striking Its using less expensive weapons. All those footages hitting radars and launchers are done by either drones or LGBs.

Also US does not look like to slowing down the tempo this time. Its relentless and sustained campaign to neutralize targets this time around.

On other hand, how many BMs are remaining with Iran is a big question mark. KSA also seems to get involved. NATO could be joining this time around. They already started to provide air refueling.

Its clear Iran has not been able to set up deterrence, they will need to respond disproportionately, likely to those countries that are allowing their territories to attack Iran. If you take them of the chess board the US has limited means of attack (by sea or via Israel).

Iran should declare its operations will end in 3 months and keep fighting .. take the control out of trumps hands.

One can trust America's ability to start wars but there's a distinct lack of trust when it comes to ending them.

It's not republicans or Democrats who are at war with Iran. It's the Americans. It's downright arrogance to put fate of millions of people in jeopardy for a glorified price is right show.
