…….fake news jeb bush needs to be like his brother and stay out of the limelight I mean I barely remember the guy as my governor

I dont get the night time attacks by both parties - is it to reduce casualties?
From a military point of view, the US adopting this helps them conceal launch platforms, lower morale, makes for spectacular visuals of large explosions lighting up the night sky.

From a tactical point of view, they make the most of their superior sensors and nighttime capabilities as they can see heat signatures far better during nighttime, reduce risk to American pilots as visual identification of incoming aircraft is very difficult at night-time, thus reducing any visual targeting of US aircraft by personnel with MANPADS and also to exploit slower reaction times of Iranian defenders who may not be on full readiness due to the time.

I mean your typical target is something like this:

Also people forget the strait is less than 25 miles across at certain points? A fishing vessel with binoculars can feed coordinates to someone on land to pass to targeting crews.

You don’t need radar to hit ships the size of skyscraper, just the coordinates and speed and the CM will lock on once it’s close enough.

This.

Many people get intimidated when the US claims to hit hundreds of targets over every few days. However, they need to realize that this is not a video game where whoever scores the most kills wins. It is a marathon! The entire terrain is incredibly vast, featuring numerous underground bases and bunkers used for storing the missiles and drones that are fired at ships in the region. All of you need to see the topography image again to understand how completely vast Iran is. It's mountains after mountains with no end in sight.

Iran is highly capable of leveraging its terrain to its advantage. In fact, short of using nuclear weapons, no amount of conventional weaponry can completely stop Iran from harassing ships in the Straits. I dare even say that even with nukes, it will only be temporarily and they will eventually resume it.

Furthermore, time is on Iran's side. They can easily hold out for years, drawing a close parallel to the Vietnam War. On the other hand, the Trump administration is on a tight clock. Trump only has until the midterm elections before soaring oil prices ultimately tie a noose around his political career.

The key for Iran now is not to panic. They have planned this for years now. They know their limitations and their strengths, and most importantly, how this war will eventually pan out. And similar to sports, just stick to the plan and play to their advantage.

It’s clear both sides used the MoU for their own respective reasons.
  • Iran to get its oil out and open missile tunnel and bases and empty oil storage tanks
  • U.S. to get the floating oil on tankers out and bring oil prices down and replenish its existing military bases
It doesn’t appear either party trusted that the other would actually negotiate faithfully. Both sides are going for a showdown over Hormuz. Let’s see which side blinks.

The Memorandum of MISUNDERSTANDING was doomed from the start!

Not really. Most here were giddy with victory and thoughts of hundreds of billions flowing in, as soon as the MoU was signed.

A few who said to wait and see were ridiculed, and are still taunted and called names.

Nevertheless, even now, one should keep up hopes that a final settlement is still likely to happen over the next couple of months.

USAF Refueler KC-135R has declared squawk 7700 EMERGENCY - currently near Tel Aviv on final approach.
Maybe it will do Iran a favor and just crash into all the other ones in a domino effect seriously and people say Irans Air Force is ancient(which it is) but America is still flying many aircraft that are approaching 80 years

Same here, they have been sitting very pretty and comfortable for now.

But we were told that there was a rush to escape Israel due to this war. What happened to that claimed exodus?

Perhaps it was all more hype than substance, the terror caused by Iranian missiles?
