China randomly stopping oil imports for the first time in 10 years was actually a deliberate action to hurt Iran’s leverage. Trump visited Xi and afterwards Xi did this. xi will never raise a finger towards America, just sail his ships in circles around Taiwan over and over.



China’s population is rapidly aging and its population growth is negative. By 2050, China will have “lost” 300M people. By 2100, Chinese population could be as low as 700M people.

Time is not on China’s side. It’s in its peak form right now. However, Xi is a pacifist and prefers to beat the West by waiting for the U.S. to implode and for Taiwan to change its stance on reunification.



I have blamed Iran’s leadership plenty on here. I blame them daily basis.

But people who come on here and try to claim China is playing some 5D chess are just delusional. They haven’t fought a war since Korea. And their military has to routinely purge itself due to corruption scandals. On top of all this, you have a leader who is anti confrontational and will wait until the West is suffocating him to do anything about it. Putin acted the same way from 2000-2022 and learned the hard way. Xi will learn too.

China immigration rate is near zero, even if you are right and they need more young population in the future they can open borders to become a multicultural dumpster like the West is.

But industrialized countries don't need that exponential population growth, they only need energy and raw materials.

And thanks to Ukraine war, they will have all the energy and resources they could wish from Russia.

Without wars and foul play, the West will collapse before China.

Btw China is not saving oil market due to sympathy for the West, just thinking in own interests and keep business working, buying and selling to the west.

And if things become ugly, they are increasing amount of nuclear armed SSBN last years.

On the other hand China will provide Iran with critical raw materials, satelite info, and virtually the last customer that will buy Iranian oil in current circumstances.

No evidence of this. People need to stop promoting China as some fierce rebel to Western order. It has literally been the backbone of the western economic engine for decades.

There is no proof China is sending anything to Iran much less during this blockade.

There was a laughable amount of users on here when the war broke out saying China is going to flood Iran with Shahed drones from its factories and manpads and what have you. I knew that was a delusional BS. Completely uncharacteristic of China.

Iran’s trade and relations with China is transactional. China selling raw materials or components to Iran is no different than if it were to sell those same components to Brazil or Egypt. It’s simple trade.

Iranian and Chinese military transactions are non existent. Last major deal was back in 2000s for C-801/C-802 (modern day Noor and Qader missiles). Dual use technologies and precursor fuels are again simple trade that China would do with any country willing to trade with it. There are no “special” circumstances for Iran here. Simple trade.

People overhype China’s role in Iran. It has a very small role. It’s a transactional relationship. Nothing ‘strategic’ about it. China cannot be trusted just like Putin couldn’t be trusted.

The problem for Iran is it lives in a time where the two remaining “axis” powers (Russia and China) prefer to not have strategic allies or confrontation with the West. Any “allies” they do have they will sell up the river…..for the right prices.

Compare this to last 100 years when you had: Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, Mussolini’s Italy, USSR, Saddam’s Iraq, Syria on Assad Sr, Egypt, Ghaddafi’s Libya, Vietcong in Vietnam.

Face it the remaining two axis powers are endangered species and cornered by the West. They think their best odds are fighting this alone and hope the West collapses before they do or WW3 occurs and they can use nukes to offset the imbalance.

There was not much Iran could have done to get Putin or Xi to enter into a strategic alliance. At the end of the day the Arabs and West had more money and influence and investment opportunities then Iran. Iran even under the best scenario couldn’t hope to outmatch those opportunities.

It is not a cultural that you can “immigrate” to like Japan or U.S. or Europe. It’s not simple as opening your borders and everyone comes in. If such a Policy were that easy then Europe wouldn’t have negative population growth despite allowing in millions of Arabs, Africans, and Indians.

China, like many Asian countries, has an inverted demographics pyramid. 1 child and 2 child policies of the old days have engrained into people’s mind to have low offspring. That’s not reversing. This is a global problem not just attributed to China. But the problem is exacerbated by lack of any meaningful immigration into China to offset this.

60-70% of a countries economic growth (GPD) is it citizens spending money (consumer spending). If its citizens are old and dying and not working then economic growth suffers as the labor pool gets smaller and smaller the working class doesn’t spend as much. Basic econ 101.

Putin won’t live forever you know. When he dies or retire, then what? A system built around 1 man. You don’t think the West has spies in that system to take control of Russia?.

I can understand your frustration.
But that is not true. Even if we don't have evidencies that China is delivering raw materials to Irán (they're doing), you see how fast Irán repaired the vital land road link to China when US bombed that bridge.

And I repeat again, Irán is for China as Hizbollah or Houthies are for Irán. There is no way for Irán to sustain a so long protracted ballistic missile exchange without some external help.

Putin can be more reluctant because he has his own war and because the odd links between zionists and Russians, but China is by large the main contributor for Iranian help.

Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Iran is still using inventory it built from 2010-2015.

Assuming Iran had 7500 missiles (hypothetical random guess) when this conflict started, it should still have 50%+ remaining with no new production needed.

So no, there is no evidence of Chinese assistance currently for manufacturing NEW missiles. Iran is still using old inventory mixed with some newer gen missiles.

7.5k figure seems quite low no? The generally held belief was that they had close to 100k at least along with 80k drones before the war.
