Seems this unrest was self inflicted:
Why do this now when the country is still recovering from January riots? What is there to gain? Hanging teenagers and young men isn’t gonna get people to support the government regardless of their crimes or if they were Mossad influenced rioters.
Just zero brain thinking. Could have kept them in prison until this war was resolved first.

The question is how are foreign intelligence agencies finding it so easy to recruit Iranian youth? That needs to be addressed first. Establishing deterrence alone may not be enough.Death penalty is a deterrence for avoid others from do the same. Especially when it's done publicly, to be seen by everyone.
Burn mosques and kill officers under foreign orders is not a youth game.
I doubt it would decrease support to government, the people who dislike, wouldnt support government anyway.
I agree, youth must have opportunities when they choose the right path. The question is how are foreign intelligence agencies finding it so easy to recruit Iranian youth? That needs to be addressed first. Establishing deterrence alone may not be enough.
Man thousands of AL-Gurdish from the KRG were caught inside Iran and hundreds of Afghani arrested after the riots.....remember that? How many Afghani got deported from Iran right after the riots? And many Shahi's also were arrested when they secretly came in from Dubai on boats via smugglers. There were constant posts here of all these people who were arrested or deported. The question is how are foreign intelligence agencies finding it so easy to recruit Iranian youth? That needs to be addressed first. Establishing deterrence alone may not be enough.
