Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

One never knows what the mad man and dis cronies will do. I think the Pentagon has just proposed to US gov that US can and should use tactile nukes in conventional wars that the US can't win.
China and Russia will make it clear to trumpet that this can not happen. Trump only respects Xi and Putin so he will take their word and know the seriousness. I really doubt that America will use nukes, remember how the russians keep talking about using nukes at the start of ukraine war? Its just talk to plant fear thats all.

Pentagon's ultimate targets of permitting first use of tactical nukes in wars are obviously China and Russia. They think China and Russia dare not to escalate to full scale nuke wars.

This is why you don’t stop fighting till a deal is signed and ratified as either a treaty or UN Security Council resolution.

Iran naively believed Trump not once (initial ceasefire agreement) but twice (finalized MoU). This is after negotiating multiple times with Trump and getting attacked each time (2020 Solemani assassination, June 2025 12 day war, and 2026 March war).

Iranian leadership is clearly the most naive on the planet.

Trumps a business first and foremost, he will always strike bargains and make appropriate deals with Russia and China.

Even when the trade war was at its worst between US and China, Trump knew when to back down and strike a bargain. I don't think he will use nukes tbh, i was more fearful of putin using nukes out of desperation than trump.

Plus Trump has a few other cards to play first before that option enters the mind. Such as a limited ground invasion utilising kurds-US forces to occupy iranian kurdistan or even bombing Irans oil facilities and de salination plants.

I think Iran learnt their lesson now. Before the old leader was quite anti war right? Now they are dug in for the long haul probably preparing for a ground invasion also.

For a while with the mute response to soleimani assassination, supreme leader assassination and the pagers blowing up killing hezzbollah and their families, Iran looked like they were in big trouble but now they look a lot more formidable

The case of Iran might not be urgent for him. But, the Pentagon's ultimate targets of such policy are China and Russia obviously.

I heard Marco Rubio recently talk on Fox news about China and his tone has changed significantly. He was talking about how catastrophic a war between America and China would be and how that should be avoided.

But there is no doubt they want to slow Chinas rise but right now China dominates nearly all the technological sectors besides semiconductors so there is not much they can do.

But yeah we will see what happens, Chinas strategy for the last 30yrs has been do nothing and win.

Iran hasn’t learned their lesson because they are de facto accepting an economic blockade of Iranian ports with no response on the aggressor or their supporters. Those ships cannot stay out there without Oman naval base and Diego Garcia and UAE providing fuel and supplies.

Would China accept a U.S. blockade?
Would Russia accept a U.S. blockade?
Would Pakistan accept a U.S. blockade?
Would North Korea accept a U.S. blockade?
Would Turkey accept a U.S. blockade?

We are back to this “strategic patience” of waiting out the blockade. A stupid idea and shows that the power centers of IR are out of ideas and taking the least confrontational way and opening that a breakthru comes from the skies.

Clearly the idea that $4 gasoline and $5.50 diesel will make Trump give up is not working. Trump is selfish enough to not care for himself or his party or any other human alive.

China has also once again show itself as a western appeaser as it cut oil imports starting in March thru the summer to help the West survive its war. What did China receive from doing this? It’s unclear. But China has 1 billion+ oil reserve that it can tap into to make up for the 10MBPD shortfall coming out of Hormuz. That’s what they did in June.

So in short, Iran’s attempt to wait the U.S. out is not the best strategy and a symptom of decision paralysis. This anti confrontational behavior has time and time again backfired on Iran.

While i Agree currently the oil prices aren't bad enough to make Iran look like definitive winners, I can't say much about China and what their plans are. Its not in the interest of China to ever help America so they must have some deeper plan that they are doing. Maybe its to protect their own industries?

Looking at this, while world trade has gone down, China been minting money

China's exports grew by 17.6% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, reaching a total value of $2.12 trillion, driven heavily by global demand for artificial intelligence hardware, high-tech components, and green technology. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Key Performance Indicators
    • Total Export Value: Reached $2.12 trillion (an increase of 17.6% compared to the previous year).
    • Overall Foreign Trade: Total goods imports and exports surpassed 25 trillion yuan (approx. US$3.75 trillion), representing an overall trade growth of 16.9% year-on-year.
    • June Acceleration: Export growth spiked sharply toward the end of the half, rising 27% year-on-year in June alone. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Driving Factors and Sectors
    • AI and Tech Surge: High global investments in AI infrastructure fueled massive shipments of chips, servers, networking equipment, and advanced ICT products. [1]
    • Strong Sectors: Beyond computing and AI hardware, strong upward momentum came from automobiles, shipbuilding, and green energy technology (solar and batteries). [1]
    • Geographic Diversification: Trade with Belt and Road partner countries accounted for over half of the total, alongside strong double-digit growth in neighboring Asian economies, Latin America, and Africa. [1]

It will be a pandora's box if the USA does. The loss of life will be significant in Iran if the USA does use them both short term and long term, but also in Eastern Europe as you can be sure that the Russian's will follow up with tactical nukes on the battlefield as well.

This is a line that no one has crossed since WWII and the orange idiot maybe crazy enough to do it, but it will have a lot of unprecedented unintended consequences.

This shows the level of desperation inside the USA of their military strategy options, which cannot be many if they are at the stage of nuclear weapons deployment.

Iran’s two previous “allies” that they spent a lot of money, aid, and effort on. This is what happens when your foreign policy is run by both inept conservatives on one side and west loving reformists on the other. Neither side is fit to run Iran! They are both inept!
