If Iran can hit the moving commercial ships at 20 knots with their ASBM, then they could target a moving US supercarrier/destroyer at 30 knots as well.

Most likely due the political motivation to not spiraling everything out of control.

The key is the distance to the moving target.

If US warships keep far enough of Iran shore, Iran can't attack them. It's what happened since war started.

In fact, US aircraft carriers dont even dare to sail near Houthi coast since Iran war started, circling whole Africa, to avoid Bab el mandeb strait.

The danger is in sail near to coast.

It's plain to see, but for some reason USA likes to hide and create BS about this, like when they say they didnt resupply warships due to logistic centers damaged in Gulf ports, what it's a stupid thing, they can buy supplies everywhere in GCC, but they didnt because they would be near to Iran coast and easily targeted by Iran.

Iran is restraining, yes, they dont do all they can, they didnt launch nuclear dirty bombs to Israel cities and they could easily.

But I think there is no restrain against warships, they would sink if they could, remember USA sinking Iran warship in the first days of war and killing one hundred Iranian sailors.

And Iran has targeted US warships and launched attacks, but they didnt be able to sink anything, yet.

Iranian media reported the US secretly moved forces to Jordan’s Camp Titin before an IRGC missile strike targeted the military facility.

Key Developments

Fars reported that the US had secretly transferred personnel and military equipment to Camp Titin in Jordan in an effort to move them beyond potential threats.

Iranian media said Washington apparently believed Tehran lacked detailed intelligence on the facility, describing the subsequent IRGC strike as an intelligence and operational success.

The IRGC said ballistic missiles destroyed important facilities and attack helicopters at Camp Titin and killed US personnel, without providing casualty figures.

Attacking USA navy with ballistic missiles has another significant message, the nukes are ready.

the new SL wants revenge, but we can not take revenge militarily so building nukes and arming Iran with it would be ultimate lose for MAGA and Israel....

That is not my inference of the use of BM's. More like, Iran's existing anti-ship systems are ineffective against attacks on the USN and can be easily countered and Iran is scrambling for alternative solutions. That is why we heard some noise about hypersonic missile help from Russia recently as well.

The situation is not looking good for Hezbollah. Eventually they're going to need backup but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if this nasty regime throws them under the bus. IR cannot rely on the MOU on this and will have to intervene to give some breathing room for the resistance in Lebanon

US can hit any ship, any city, any town, any building, dams, bridges, everything within Iran. Everything is on table. and you are saying Iran holding back at not escalating ? what else option Iran has ? Iran cannot hit American cities, buildings or ships.

US already destroyed Iranian decades old nuclear program and countless other damages, killing of SL and scientists and citizens. and you are saying Iran "holding" back. As if Iran has some choice to do damage equally to americans ?

Forget about America. This whole war is started only because of Israel. They attacked Iran first this year and the last year. When there's a 7 foot tall wrestler is beating a person who has immense tolerance for pain then that person isn't controlling escalation. Its only hoping that 7 foot wrestler will get tired soon. Iran do not have option to escalate. That option is with United States and they are escalating whenever they feel neccessary.
