The sparing of UAE is the single biggest oddity of this war. It is absolutely senseless from a strategic perspective. There is at least some reasonable logic to limiting hitting certain countries, be it a range-related dilemma for Israel, political conflictions with KSA....but if i were Iranian, I would regard it as bordering on treasonous for my armed forces to leave this particular nation alone. It's so close and so easy to hit and nobody apart from the Arab world would give Tehran significant political backlash.

It makes me think there is some truth to the "pay off" conspiracy theory.

I think it is because Dubai used to be Iran's money laundering center. But the Emirates is already shutting down Iran's money laundering network. So, why would Iran still spare them? It makes no sense.

The only reasonable explanation is that the sons of the oligarchs in Iran love residing like parasites in Jumeirah. I cannot think of any other reason.

other Iranian accounts reported drone / jet violations and red alerts at missile bases earlier today, I didn't see it elsewhere so I didn't report it

I would take those reported drone activities with a grain of salt, but there's no doubt that the US would eventually unleash hell on Iran. But that will happen after November elections in my opinion.

If the US decides to make a move before the midterm elections, it could mean only one thing: they are confident that this time they would be able to finish their "regime change" plan. If not, why would the Republicans attack Iran and send oil prices even higher right before the elections over nothing? And most likely their regime change plan would be through a coup within the Iranian system, after large protests in Iran when the universities open or something. The US dollar is already approaching 250K IRT and people are angry even if they are silent.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Iran has only a narrow window of opportunity to prepare for the next round. And Iran needs nuclear deterrence eventually. Otherwise, this cycle of war, siege, war will eventually break Iran.
