We have discussed before on this very thread the unscrupulous nature of both western petrol pump owner "cartels" AND the governments here who fail to clamp down on their practices because slapping on extra fuel duty is MUCH MORE LUCRATIVE for western governments rather than enforcing the reductions in wholesale commodity indices onto the pump owners.

Minimal shift, if any, should be expected at the forecourt. It's probably the same in USA too.

I.e. this repugnantly high pricing is due to the profiteering by western governments and pump owners, not necessarily due to worsening of or even sustained hostilities in the Middle East.

The US administration came down hard with threats of sanctions against Turkish companies. Those flights aren't coming back anytime soon. And it's not just Turkish Airlines getting hit; Pegasus and Ajet are in the same boat too.

This is a bluff. He wants a deal right now to improve his party's chances in the elections. After the elections he will have too many domestic headaches.
