There is a Chinese vlogger on the social media platform Douyin (distinct from the international version, TikTok). He is an ore trader who has long been active across Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran, maintaining close ties with local government officials, major landowners, and regional power brokers in all three countries. He posts vlogs almost daily. ------ During the height of the US/Israel-Iran conflict, he even visited Hormuz Island in person (with special permission from the Iranian military, of course).

Watching his vlogs can shift many of the perceptions one might have about these three nations.

Trump will likely launch an immediate attack on Iran if his party loses badly in the midterm election.

- He wants to become a war-time president. As to attack a country of the size of Iran, the length of war campaign will definitely outlast the end of his presidential term in Jan 2029, so he can avoid the impeachment even if the democrats control both house and senate.

- Even the democrats manage to win the congress, the republicans can still control the congress up to Jan 3rd of next year.

Missiles can do plenty of damage and if Iran went after the tankers/awacs on the ground and the air then it would have been a different story.However, when The will isn’t there to launch many missiles or escalate the war then it won’t happen. If Iran can fire 25 missiles at one Jordan airbase, it could have fired 50 at an Israeli one. No one forced Iran to stop the war just as Israeli air defense supply got depleted. Iran decided too.

The fact Israel could fly every day to Iran with drones and fighter jets means that Iran grossly underestimated their opponent and the strike packages required to hinder that.

But Iran could have 10,000 missile in inventory and it wouldn’t matter. If you have birds in the sky 24/7 waiting to hit your teams then your fire rate goes down. When you don’t build long range missiles in the east and north east to take off pressure from the west then your fire rate and flexibility goes down.

A launcher maybe easily replaceable but the teams that set up the missiles and prepare the targeting modules are not. Iran grossly underinvested in air defense for last 20 years and all those OTH radars proved useless.

Good post and at the time(early April) I did not understand why Iran stopped the war when Zio-US were out of interceptors.

US threats to destroy Iranian civilian infrastructure were hollow as Iran then had the ability to destroy critical infrastructure in Zionist Palestine.

I think Iran has moved hundreds of MRBMs/IRBMs to more secure central and eastern missile bases and it does have capability but simply lacks will to fight the war it needs to fight.

we tried that twice in perfect scenarios (all the time in the world to set up launchers etc with empty skies). Operations True Promise I and II. both were epic failures.

Critical difference as they were single waves and so could not deplete Zio-US interceptors enough.

Also in TP1 Iran did not use any of its most advanced missiles.
