Just to add to the above, this is why Israel is evil and brutal, it's trying to force the resistance to SUBMIT
So it's trying to bomb civilian targets killing multiple innocents with the aim of the resistance being forced to stop the conflict because of the slaughter

Irans biggest defence is OFFENCE

If it's enemies believe any attack on its oil or nuclear infrastructure will get a response that will devastate Israeli infrastructure or American interests in the middle east then they will stop

If they believe they can attack Iran and then irans response will be missiles into open ground or no major destruction, they may just MAY take the chance


It's up to Iran to declare that any attack will be responded to and aim for Israeli infrastructure

Iran has probably reserve air defenses storaged. Maybe there are not last generation Bavar 373 MKII or S300PMU-2, but for sure Iran retains in storage from Khordad´s 3 or Tabas Air defense systems not to tell any S200 storaged.
And day after day must be producing more system in a basis of 24/7. So probably in few weeks damaged systems will be repaired and in a month or two new systems would be introduced in service.
B52 are for launching ABM or cruise missiles IMO. Those obviously cannot even reach the border safely.

It makes sense. Iran will certainly retaliate, chances of a revolution is low without US ground invasion. Bombing civilians will make them hate you more. Pro-shah will lose more influence if that's the case.

What do you think will happen if US commits ground troops in Lebanon to destroy hezbollah? Isn't that a better option? Israel creates a buffer zone in the north without escalating a war with Iran but I'm not sure if Iran will allow that to happen. Israel so far shows no progress with ground invasion in Lebanon. They can't do it themselves. They lack the courage to fully commit.

I don't see a realistic scenario where the US puts troops in Lebanon. It will give Israel all the money, weapons and logistics it needs, but no US troops in Lebanon or Gaza.

Ground invasion of Iran is, of course, completely out of the question.

B52 has very important role

Once B-2 ,F35 or Raptors sanitize the area by destroying the ADS, B52 can take up the lead for mass destruction or heavy payload strikes on underground facilities since high sortie rates will be required for that purpose.
