agreed.main advantage of launching strikes from Iraq is the proximity to Israel
West Iraq is < 500km from Israel, meaning Iran can use more accurate SRBMs such as Fateh-313 and Raad-500
Its probably not that difficult, because since Saddam was overthrown, and Iran setup and armed its allied Iraqi militias like Badr, Kataib Hezbollah, PMU etc, Southern Iraq, especially Basra, are more under Iranian control than Iraq- so Iran has had (and taken advantage of) all its open access into Iraq through southern Iraq.the difficulty is transporting those missiles in sufficient numbers to West Iraq and then the logistics of launching them simultaneously without being spotted
so overall it seems quite unlikely
You just need to wait to see some more results of Soleimani's "work " in the region.
