Considering Israel used 60% of its combat capable aircraft for the strikes, I am guessing the damage will be significant but the nuclear sites are largely secure as per international media.

Ws sad waking up to this news.

Firstly, let us all applaud Iran for being (along with Yemen), literally the only Muslim country in the world to have the balls to stand up to Israel and all the dangers that entails.
Also condolences on the loss of innocent Iranian women and children. May their families eventually find peace.

To the military aspect, once cannot help but be impressed by the scope and depth of this strike.

If 200 plans took part with no US support (reportedly), then the majority of these planes would have been non-stealth F-15s and F-16s flying over most of Iran, also there seems to be not a single Israeli plane lost. This is incredible.

Firstly to get such a sizable fleet tom Iran undetected
Secondly such a massive air refuelling effort
Iranian air defence must have been completly destroyed
Very accurate targeting of senior Iranians in their homes (via SIGINT?)

Of course Israel would have been preparing for Iranian missile/drone response too, so unsure just how effective it will now be as US/ British, some Arab and Israeli air defences will now work in tandem

Iran should (and in all likelyhood has) plans to respond asymmetrically. If Israel can suddenly make Hez pagers blow up being undetected over a few years, I would not be surprised if Iran can do similar tricks.

It doesn’t matter now whether Iran was prepared or not. What counts is how much damage they’ll do to Israel in retaliation before going down.

Without wanting to be disrespectful, Iran can’t get out of this as the winner. After all, it’s not Israel they’re fighting with, it’s also the US and NATO.

The anti-Islamic forces are united and hunt like a pack of animals while Muslims are like headless chickens. Getting destroyed one by one while stubbornly refusing to unite to defend themselves.

Till the day Muslims unite they’re going to keep suffering defeat and humiliation.

Iran had to back out form Iraq War, terming it as the most bitter pill they ever had to take. And that was a situation where Iran had an upper hand.

In today's case, most of their top leadership is gone within hours and we saw how that went in case of Lebanon. A complete collapse of Hezbollah in the later fight after their leadership collapsed similarly. In the current situation I do not see how Iran can prevail, let alone give a balanced response. Russia is occupied with its own problems and China has no way to get involved here.

The initial damage seems too much and in the absence of any airforce or ground corridor, Iranian missiles plus slow speed drones can only achieve so much. Israel only invested in its airforce coz it knew what was needed. Disappointing I know, but the reality does not look so good in the favour of Iran. Unless they can surprise everyone in any significant way.

That is more awkward when they penetrated the airspace, with little to no decent air force, AD systems couldn't really do much against air strike.

Israel's ability to fly over Iraq on a large scale means that Iraq's territory is within Israel's sphere of influence, and there is a high probability that the sparse missiles will be intercepted in Iraq, and only a small part will pass through Iraq to reach Israel.
