The situation is pretty bad.

Even Iranian civilian airlines will be crippled after this war is over.
They targeted mainly civilian airlines at Mehrabad. And Iran cannot import passenger aircrafts due to US and EU sanctions.

The regime is in a bad situation and if they don't go nuclear, will fall soon.

It's too late to go nuclear now. Israel is ruling the skies, they WILL destroy every military installations, missile bases, navy assets. I think they knew Iran is speaking the truth and not going nuclear so this is why Israel attacked them. We have been discussing on PDF for decades but Iranians never believed the situation that is happening now, that Iaf is in their skies, they thought Israel cannot reach and Iran is too far. I fail to understand if Iran didn't have anything then why keep on making empty threats, and arm militias such as hizbollah and the rest to target Israel. Pakistan should covertly supply Iran with the needed missiles and drones and also coordinate with China to send J-10 aircrafts with pilots similar to the 1973 War when Pakistan pilots fought against Israel from Jordan. For China it will be a booster as their aircrafts will get battle field experience and Iran will become a big buyer of Chinese military equipment in the future.

Not gonna happen Iran stands alone in this fight

the air defence situation in Tehran is very bad

if they can fly freely they don't need to use ALBMs and can drop their infinite supply of other cheap bombs

we need a large operation to change things and buy time for air defences to be restored. I am sure some of them are still in storage and there are other capabilities (358, 359). our rate of missile fire so far has been very low.

I continue to believe that Netanyahu's endgame is regime change. He probably has counted on revolts and uprisings in Iran, which was likely at first because the country felt helpless and the regime seemed unable to defend Iran, but now that the tide is turning, it's extremely unlikely to happen. Iranians have never been this united in a long time.

This sort of aerial campaign will never work against hardened targets like Fordow or Natanz. They're just scratching the surface without much success. The only possible exception is if they can get boots on the ground to enter these underground facilities. Maybe that's why they have defined a two-week plan.

This is probably their plan, which I had more or less predicted a few weeks before this war happened in another thread:
1. Shock and awe through decapitation of high ranking generals
2. SEAD/DEAD to establish air superiority over Iranian territory
3. Suppression of Iran's ability to launch missiles to retaliate
4. Suppression of Iran's ground forces to send commandos or special forces in
5. Create chaos in Iran by asking people to topple the regime, activating their sleeper cells in Tehran, Kurdistan, Azerbaijan, Baluchistan, Ahvaz, etc.
6. Destroy Iranian underground facilities while Iran is in chaos using boots on the ground
7. If everything went well, topple the regime.

They seem to be at stage 3 or 4 now. I don't think they will ever be able to move on to stage 5, as Iranians seem quite united now. At least, as long as the regime is fighting back, everything's good.

Surely Iran has enough soldiers for boots on the ground to simply surround these locations ? So that a boots on the ground operation is simply impossible ?
