Restraint mentality is a virus. I was watching Press TV and this General was showing airbase targets that they hit. He said we didn't hit the barracks because we don't want to kill any one.

I was like WTF are you on about!? They are combatants, you find the barracks and you hit them to take out as many pilots / servicemen as you can.

Why wouldn't the Chinese and the Russians sell Iran weapons for hard cash?? Those two countries are not too bothered by the American sanctions. It was Iran which was relying on its proxy militias next to Israel and its missiles as the strategic deterrence and so Iran didn't much invest in airforce or even much in air defense system. And the proxies were not a bad investment for a long time and neither was the investment in the missiles targeting Israel. But, we know, 6-8 months ago, the tide turned on the proxies and here we are.

I reckon it's got to do with China and Russia's relationship with Israel, none of the two powers are antagonistic with Israel. Iran-Israel has always been a powder keg with the west being open backers of Israel.

Iran was always stuck in a quagmire in their own region, its neighbours didn't trust it. Why do you think Iran went all the way to India for the development of the Chabahar port?

Iran has plenty of strength to absorb those MOABs (If they choose to do that Stupidity) . Yes they may destroy a facility. But its not the end of the world for Iran. Remember how much munitions they dropped over Taliban and eventually americans had to vacate in security of Taliban. Same treatment they received in Vietnam. They dropped everything they had and eventually lost. Dropping bombs isn't equivalent to winning war.

They have dropped so much bombs over Yemen and yemen still keep firing missiles every now and then. So bottomline is that its far from over. Iran will keep fighting as long as it takes.

One last thing, Iran is isolated, perhaps this is a bad time for me to be asking this, but if we weren't led by a bunch of old men, the people in this forum all knew we needed an airforce, they all knew we need capable AD systems, but it was mostly ignored.
