Why because our media has been mentally preparing us for being the next for the last many decades so that when it happens, we accept it that yes we already knew it.

Our attitude should be no one fucking dares, not like being arrogant but not accepting such a defeatist narrative. We can't control how others behave but if we have a mentality that no this is not acceptable and we prepare for that and always be ready for that, then its a totally different mindset, creates a totally different psyche.

You never tell your kids you are a failure, you can't do this or that, or someone can bully/beat you. you tell them no you are the best, you can do anything you want, and you'll beat the shit out of anyone who bullies you and then you train them mentally and physically to deal with that problem when it happens.

That's not realistic. Iran had this mindset and look where it lead them.

I agree this has to be our mindset, and in bubbles in the country it exists, as demonstrated by the Air Force last month.

But our society is not oriented this way. I wish it were. Our society does not give agency but to a small cohort, and even then for such short time as not to build up a deferential class of experts the nation can look to for policy making and strategy shaping for the long term. Hence over estimating your enemy and being cautious in judging one’s self. If you not allowed to put your feet in the pool, you won’t know how few it really is and if you can do the task. That is most of society, even amongst the intellectually brilliant but not well connected.

It makes far more sense to have a PLAN base in Gwadar. It covers both India and the Persian Gulf and has a completely legitimate reason to protect CPEC and Chinese workers.
