Let this be clear- Iran's foreign policy is highly arrogant and based on the notion that it can never be a lesser partner. It also is fanatical and tries to push its religious influence. When Rouhani came to India, he went to give a seminary in Hyderabad mosque! This is unbecoming for a presidential visit. Visiting a mosque is okay but giving an entire religious speech is inappropriate. Iran also makes tough deals with China & Russia which has practically alienated them. This is why Russia didn't bother to defend Syria but just withdrew, for example.

Iran does seem to be living in another world. On the one hand, the Ayatollah said Iran would not make a nuclear bomb and on the other refused to give up enriched uranium. For all his faults, President Trump did not want to go to war but was left with no good options by Bibi. If Iran had been a little more sensible and made a deal, all this could have been avoided. At least on that, President Trump is right.

Irans missile force is very good, and would’ve been sufficient for the PG area and Israel but they lacked the most important deterrent which was a nuclear arsenal.

Iran's entire doctrine was sound and built upon the proxies next to Israel and the ballistic missiles. Nukes have been out of question without the kind of effort Pakistan did, with a nod of approval from the big powers, for at least 15 years.

Genuine question, what kind of aircraft were available for Iran to purchase while having an arms embargo? What kind of jets could they realistically have bought which could’ve withstood against the combined might of US and Israel without getting wiped out? I think a strong airforce would’ve helped initially, but the end result would’ve been the same. Remember Irans AD was sabotaged before any airstrikes by collaborators and infiltrators.

China never wants to act like your benefactor, since we only seek for win-win.

Iran did make bad decision in the past, and even many of your compatriots do admit that mistake.

For now, no option left for Iran, and China is the only remaining option.

If you can find more capable/reliable partner than China, then go for it. Since everyone has the right to choose the most optimized option for themselves.

And the past, China was also plagued by the pro-west reformists like Iran, and those people were just indoctrinated by those US institutions and they all carried the mission to weaken their motherland in the favor of the west, and eventually opt for a color revolution.

China needs to help Iran to weed out those western stooges fifth columns which will effectively weaken our own traitors.
